How do I bid? |

We use a helpful bidding system (called proxy bidding) to make bidding on auctions simple and easy.
Here's how it works:
- When you place a bid, you enter the maximum amount you'd be willing to pay for this particular bid. Your maximum amount is kept confidential from other bidders.
- The Koi Auction bidding system compares your bid to those of the other bidders.
- The system places bids on your behalf, using only as much of your bid as is necessary to maintain your high bid position. The system will bid up to your maximum amount.
- If another bidder has a higher maximum, you'll be outbid. BUT, if no other bidder has a higher maximum, you win the Koi. And you could pay significantly less than your maximum price!
When you submit your bid, please make sure you put the right amount because no cancellation is accepted once submitted.

What do I do after I win?
|
|
|
Please expect a winner notification email from us. The email contains a link to confirm your win and will take you to the shopping cart page. Or, you may click “View Cart” on the home page to process payments and arrange the shipping date.
Please make payments within 3 days.
If you would prefer to make payment and shipping arrangements by phone, please call us at 808-623-2997.? Two full business days advanced notice is necessary for shipments.

If I am the highest bidder, but I want to increase my max bid to assure my win---how do I do that?

system
will
automatically
increase
your
max
bid
without
outbidding
your
current
bid

What is Auction Extension? |
|
|
The Auction Extension feature is something that our bidders have been requesting we implement on our site. This is an exciting feature that truly creates the atmosphere of a “live” auction. Real auctions always leave a chance for bidders to outbid another in the last seconds by saying “Going Once, Going Twice...” This system will allow online auction bidders the same opportunity to jump in and take the high bid position.
To explain more fully, you will see a closing time listed for each item (koi). But if a bid is placed 30 seconds before that closing, the auction time will then extend 3 minutes further for the possibility of more bidding. This extension could repeat up to 5 times or 15 minutes in total depending on whether there is a new bid placed 30 seconds before closing. The bidding page will show the message of “Time Extended” until the fifth extension at which time you will see “Final Extension”.

You set NO reserve. Is this true? |

Absolutely. The price at closing time of auction is the price you pay, no matter how low it is.
Our goal is to provide the best place for Koi hobbyists to obtain the higher quality Koi for more reasonable price. For us to achieve the goal, we simply believe in NO reserve at our auction.

Can I cancel my bid? I am no longer interested in the Koi. |

We are sorry, but no cancellation will be accepted after submitting the bid.
Our
goal

For
us
to
achieve
the
goal,
we
set
no
reserve.
And
of
course,
once
auction
begins,
we
will
never
get
involved
with
the
auctions.
In
return,
we
simply
ask
bidders
to
be
committed
to
their
bids.
In
any
case
cancellation
need
to
be
accepted,
20%
cancellation
fee
must
be
paid.
It
is
still
JKO's
discretion
if
we
accept
the
cancellation.
