Entry to the grand prize drawing is earned by participation in three smaller contests. If you participate in all three of these contests, you may earn as many as three entries to the grand prize drawing.

Entry 1 – Complete Koi Quiz (Note: Answers need not be right, participation automatically gets you an entry…..but being correct may earn you a bonus prize)

Entry 2 – Submit a current photograph of a Koi purchased from us. Only one entry will be awarded no matter how many photographs you submit, but all photograph(s) will be judged and the 5 top photographs will receive prizes.

Entry 3 – Draw Your Dream Koi Contest. Only one entry to the grand prize drawing entry will be awarded for participation, but the top 5 drawings will receive prizes.

Contest 1   Koi Quiz

Mamoru Kodama, author of KOKUGYO I and II, desighed a 7 question Koi Quiz for you.

Step 1: Answer the quiz
Step 2: Submit

Answers to the quiz need not be correct to receive entry to the grand prize drawing. Once you submit the quiz, you will automatically be entered in the grand prize contest.

There is however a Quiz Bonus: If you get a perfect on the quiz, you may be eligible for a bag of Kodama Koi Food 2.2Lb (Wheat Germ).  This food was developed by Mamoru Kodama based on his 40 years of champion raising experiences. *If there are more than 10 people who get a perfect score, a drawing will be held for the food. Needless to say shipping of all prizes to you is included.

 

Contest 2  Photographic Koi Show

The photograph must be of a Koi that was purchased from a Kodama Koi Farm Auction or Japan Koi Online.

Try to get the best photograph you can! The judges will be Mamoru and Taro Kodama who will judge the Koi based on the photographs.  The winners will be announced at www.kodamakoifarm.com and also in  KOI NATIONS. (Note: A subscription to Koi Nations, will give you a lot of good information on Koi.)

Step 1: Take a good picture of your Koi

Step 2: By May 15, 2008 Submit the picture to Kodama Koi Farm (94-728 Lanikuhana Ave. Mililani HI 96789) or email the picture to thankyou@kodamakoifarm.com
*If you send pictures by email, resolution need to be at least 300 dpi.

Contest 3 Koi Drawing Contest

Niigata breeders created Nishikigoi from black carp. It took imagination to come up with all the varieties we have today. For this contest, we want to challenge your imagination. What type of Koi would you create?

Step 1: Download a template and draw on it in any way you like.
Step 2: By May15, 2008 Submit your completed picture to Kodama Koi Farm (94-728 Lanikuhana Ave. Mililani HI 96789) or Scan and email the drawing to thankyou@kodamakoifarm.com
