Urgent
announcement
on
the
Niigata
Earthquake
on
Monday,
July
16
2007.

To
worldwide
Nishikigoi
lovers
and
dealers
=
As
you
may
already
know,
a
strong
earthquake
hit
Niigata
prefecture
on
Monday,
July
16.
Ten
people
were
killed
and
more
than
1,200
others
injured.The
cities
that
suffered
heavy
damages
were
mostly
near
the
Japan
Sea,
and
no
serious
damages
were
caused
in
Nagaoka,
Ojiya,
and
Yamakoshi,
the
major
production
areas
of
Nishikigoi.
As
of
5
a.m.
today,
it
has
been
confirmed
that
all
Nishikigoi
breeders
are
safe,
and
none
of
them
has
reported
damages
to
neither
their
Nishikigoi
nor
facilities.

this

soon
as
more
information
becomes
available.
