As the couple of pictures introduce you, Shinoda Hi Utsuri will become a piece of art.

The first quality of his bloodline is the body. The couple of pictures on this page are called “Legend Hi Utsuri”.

Both of them are gigantic but spectacular body size.Its size is the perfect example of Shinoda Hi Utsuri.

Please look how cleanly the bright Hi and thick Sumi are making outstanding pattern.

The large Sumi patches create a powerful checkerd design on the body.

The contrast between Hi and Sumi is very beautiful and excellent.  Moreover, please see the above picture.It has some Kage Zumi
(the crescent-shaped Sumi in the Hi on the latter half).

This situation is extremely rare and precious.Because this variety is still in the process of perfection,
it is still common to see many Jami or small dots on the body even from Shinoda Koi Farm.

But please look at them. Both of them are very clean, aren’t they?

This is just the Shinoda (Ushizo) quality.Therefore, His Koi has such nice body size,
design and quality.This is an excellent opportunity to obtain the great promising and

Welcome to the Shinoda Hi Utsuri Azukari Grow-out Contest. In this special event, you have the opportunity to:

  • get quality tosai—Hi Usturi ($349 each) from famous breeder—Shinoda Koi Farm
  • see how they grow and develop over the summer at Kodama Koi Farm on Oahu, Hawaii
  • entered into a contest for 5 great prizes—grand prize gets over $300 in koi food

This is a great chance to get beautiful Hi Utsuri.

There are around 50 available Koi.

Currently these koi range in size from around 7–10 in (17- 26 cm), and they can grow large quickly with our Kodama Koi Food diet.

Contest terms

  • Kodama Koi Farm will grow your koi here with high quality koi food on Oahu, HI until  August 31, 2019
  • Winners will be selected and announced a couple weeks or so later (TBA)
  • If a koi dies, Kodama Koi Farm will offer a replacement at its discretion
