One-of-a-kind that you can rarely find
Sometimes you need luck to find a rare piece of art. Always you need an eye and knowledge to tell the rare value of the art.
And of course, being rare is not enough. It must be beautiful at the same time. The rare values come from varieties and patterns and the combination of the two.
A variety can be rare because there are not many breeders who breed the type of Koi. A pattern can be rare because it is a work of nature.
Koi of the week this week is Tancho Budo Goromo. Budo Goromo, although there are not as many breeders as other varieties, is not a really hard variety to find.
As for Tancho pattern, although it is still very demanded and always hard to fill orders, we see a lot more often than before, But when Tancho pattern and a variety of Budogoromo comes together, it becomes very rare.
I would not say I have never seen Tancho Budogoromo. I usually find 1 or 2 every time I go to Japan in fall, but it is that rare.
