Customer Story By: Chris C
“I joined the Army at the age of 19 and was stationed in Hawaii. While there, I saw beautiful koi at many of the hotels and instantly fell in love with them. Unfortunately, military life didn’t allow me the opportunity to have a pond of my own.
It wasn’t until 21 years later, after retiring and buying a home in Arizona, that I was finally able to pursue this wonderful hobby. I began planning my pond right away, and several years later, I broke ground. Progress was slow—just a pickaxe and shovel—but thankfully, my daughter and her boyfriend came down one weekend, and Tommy surprised me by digging the pond for me.
I set everything up and began my koi journey. It’s now been up and running for 10 years, and I have some of the biggest, most colorful koi in the area. I recently purchased some study koi from Kodama and am excited to see how they turn out!”
