From Our Pond to Yours, Thank You for 25 Years of Friendship

As we celebrate Kodama’s 25th Anniversary, we want to personally thank you for being part of our story from the very beginning. Your journey—from that first Asagi named Shawn to your thriving, peaceful pond—is a reflection of the bond we’ve built together through koi.

It means the world to us that 95% of your koi came from our farm. Your trust, loyalty, and passion inspire us every day.

Thank you for 25 years of friendship, support, and shared love for these living jewels.

Customer Story By: Dave G

“My pond story starts when I was 26-27 years old and got my first imported koi from Kodama koi farm back when they were originally located in California. I purchased an Asagi (which I still have). His name is Shawn and is roughly 25 years old. He is pictured with his koi buddies in my attached photos.

My current pond isn’t as large as I would like, but has all the features I want. I wanted a pond where large, quality Japanese koi can co-exist with pond lillies and other floating plants. It has taken a few years to figure it out but it is possible…and I enjoy every second of it!

My koi are very tame and hand fed. Also, 95% of my koi are koi that I purchased from kodama koi farm. Shiro from Omosako, Hi utsuri from shinoda, goshiki from Kanno, showa from Dainichi…etc.

I love everything about my koi pond and the quality koi I have purchased from Kodama. Thank you guys for helping me over the last 25 years!

I couldn’t imagine my life without my koi pond!”
