“I have two ponds, my first pond has a 15 foot waterfall is ~ 5000 gallons.
I built my show stopper second pond 10k gallons with a trex decking perimeter a stream style bio waterfall, 3 jets, 2 bottom drains piped to 3 inch 3 way valves that hook to the largest residential bead filter that GC Tek makes, a trickle in trickle out system, epdm liner bottom large natural rock walls surrounding and retaining (sanded smooth to avoid cutting the Koi).
There is custom controlled lighting in the pond on the decking and underneath the decking as well.
The pond is home to 17 Koi, 3 of which are award winning, dainichi Showa 65cm nisai won tategoi, 75cm karashigoi won chairman’s choice, best in class from ZNA 49th annual koi show and Kodama virtual.
The pond houses Kodama, Koi Market, Majestic Koi from breeders including Dainichi, Marusei, aoki, Momotaro, Torazo, Kaneko, Sakai, Maruhide, Marusaka, omosako and more.”
