I think it is OK to say Yellow Monkey is Dainichi version of Kawarimono or Karashi. According to Shigeru, they used Karashi from Sakai fish farm to develop this variety. He used Sakai's Karashi because they are not only big but also wide unlike other Karashi which looks more pointed.
He explained that Sakai introduced Sakai Kohaku bloodline to Karashi to make them wider. Dainichi yellow monkey comes with so many different color versions. But one thing for sure is that they all have the gene of gigantic growth. Grow jumbo yellow monkey in your pond

Hiroi Koi Farm is one of the most established breeders with 80 + years of history in Niigata, Japan. Kazu and Nobu, the twin brothers says "they are very faccinated with the chance Koi can make. Koi change its body shape, color and pattern as they grow. They have been famous for Doitsu Showa, Goshiki and Ginrin Goshiki.
What amazes us is that he always challenges new varieties and still produce high quality Koi. Producing high level Koi at one variety is hard enough. Now, Mr. Hiroi, a young, quiet but energetic breeder of the three generation established farm, started his challenge to breed this rare beauty. His Hi Utsuri is especially second to none. Just like Omosako Shiro Utsuri, no breeder can touch Shinoda’s Hi Utsuri. His Hi Utsuri is a regular winner of Best in Variety award at All Japan Koi Show. As a matter of fact, he won the title for the last 3 consecutive years.
We also raise his Tosai Hi Utsuri at our farm. This Koi was Tosai in 2018. She is now 24+ inches at our farm. Every Hi Utsuri in this program has the potential
His Ginrin Showa are descendants of the famous one that won grand champion at the 39th Nogyosai Koi show over Gosanke about 16 years ago. Before nor after that Koi, have I seen any other non-Gosanke beat other Gosanke for the title.

Suguru Wada
Wada Koi Farm
Kirin, or Giraffe in Japanese, is a creation by Mr. Wada at Wada Koi Farm. He crossed Nezu Ogon with Kujyaku to developed this variety about 5 years ago. Some people may call them yellow Kujyaku, but to be exact, they are not. Kujyaku is based on Gin Matsuba. So they should have clean head and fins. Kinrin, on the other hands, is based on Nezu Ogon. It is natural to have gray tint head and fins as you can see the two typical type of his Kirin pictures.
Breeding Kirin with Nezu Ogon and Kujyaku, some comes out with darker red instead of yellow. They are called Beni Kirin. Unlike regular Kujyaku, they have sumi on its head and fins, which adds powerful look to them.
