He has produced Koi in Niigata since 1952. At the same time, he was also a dealer, too. He used to buy Koi from breeders and wholesale them to dealers. Anybody who do this work must have eyes on Koi, and thus it is not a work for everybody. Because of his eye on quality Koi, he has an established reputation. His son, Mr. Kazuhiko Isa, now takes over his business and focus more on breeding. He breeds every variety such as Kohaku, Taisho Sanke and Showa. In addition, he began to breed Ki Utsuri in 2001. Several years ago, the variety was almost the state of the extinction. Mr. Isa has made efforts to keep the beauty of Ki Utsuri since then.
